Marion is a motivational speaker dedicated to empowering identity transformation through study abroad, travel, and life transitions. Her passion for international experiences began as a teenager when she moved from California to Australia. This journey ignited her curiosity about identity, culture, belonging, the concept of home, and the question, "Where are you from? " It challenged her to adapt quickly, embrace resiliency, and step confidently beyond her comfort zone.
Fluent in German and French, Marion holds a minor in Sociology from the University of Tasmania, Australia where she studied migrant communities. She also spent ten years as a substitute teacher across two counties in the Central Florida area and now works at a major hospital in Florida.
Marion's own experiences of home, culture shock, adapting to new cultures, extensive international travel, and learning new languages inspired her keynote presentation and workshops. Now she helps individuals understand how stepping into new cultures can challenge yourself, spark personal growth, and unlock new versions of themselves.
Marion is also an avid landscape and nature photographer, passionate adventure traveler, and aspiring author. She brings the same curiosity and creativity to those explorations as she does to speaking on identity and encouraging study abroad.

Stepping into a new country isn't just travel--it's transformation.
Experiencing culture shock is where your growth begins. As you adapt, you learn to observe, listen, and adjust to differences with curiosity--building cultural awareness. Thriving overseas is about staying open-minded and embracing the experience. In the end, you're not just navigating a new place, you're becoming a new person.
Learning Outcomes:
Your journey is more than a location change--
it's a process of becoming...
Through identity development, you begin to understand what shapes you. Through cultural learning, you change how you see the world,
Through studying abroad, real personal growth takes place. Each challenge, conversation, and experience invites you to redefine who you are and who you're becoming.
Instead of drifting through the experience, step into it with intention.
The most powerful outcome isn't just what you experience- it's the person you chose to become.
Learning Outcomes:
Returning home after living abroad is not a step backward--it's a new beginning.
Reintegration can feel disorienting as familiar places no longer feel the same and neither do you. These identity shifts are a sign you've grown and seen the world through a wider lens. Others may expect you to "go back to normal, " but you carry something different now: A global perspective challenges you to think beyond borders, question everyday life, and stay open to new ways of living and understanding. The goal is not to return to who you were, but to integrate who you've become- grounded in your roots, yet shaped by the world you've encountered.
Learning Outcomes:
